In Time For Twosday, 2 Sets Of Twins Make Debut At Tampa General

TAMPA, FL — The No. 2 proved to be lucky for two Tampa moms, both of which gave birth to healthy twins on Tuesday.

It's not every day that Tampa General Hospital's obstetrics staff delivers twins, much less two sets of twins on the same day, which just happened to be Feb. 22, 2022, or 2-22-22, known as Twosday.

"Sometimes the stars align to make magic happen," said Tampa General Hospital in a Facebook post. "Yesterday was one of those days. This once-in-a-lifetime miracle won't be possible for another 200 years, but we'll be here waiting when it does."

Solanda Gomez' twins are both boys while the Lopez-Torres twins, born to Dolly Lopez and her husband Romilio Torres, are a boy and a girl.
