Warren Sapp Pleads Guilty to Domestic Violence

The former Tampa Bay Buccaneer was accused of stopping on his girlfriend's head and biting her finger.

Warren Sapp has pleaded guilty in a domestic violence case that stemmed from an attack on his girlfriend Chalyce Moore back in April at a Las Vegas resort. Charges were filed against Sapp in June with his arrest initially including three counts of domestic violence, according to TMZ.

A plea deal struck by the 42-year-old Hall of Famer and prosecutors resulted in two of the charges being dropped in exchange for Sapp’s guilty plea.

Sapp, the Las Vegas Review-Journal is reporting, will have to undergo six months of domestic violence counseling and pay $2,895 in fines and restitution. He is also being required to perform 48 hours of community service and must have no contact with Moore.

During April’s incident, Sapp is accused of throwing a mixed drink at Moore and then biting her middle finger while in a car on the way back to her home. Once there, Sapp is said to have stomped on Moore’s head.

Sapp also faced prostitution solicitation charges earlier this year in Phoenix. Sapp’s legal entanglements resulted in his termination from the NFL Network back in February. Charges in the prostitution case were dropped by a judge in May, the New York Daily News reported.
