In advance of Super Bowl Sunday, half-time show entertainer the Weeknd has released a Super Bowl commercial on his social media sites.

TAMPA, FL— In advance of Super Bowl Sunday, half-time show entertainer the Weeknd has released a Super Bowl commercial on his social media sites.
The 30-year-old singer, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, is currently making himself at home in Tampa after reportedly renting a 6,000-square-foot home on Davis Islands for $100,000 during his Super Bowl visit.

Davis Islands is also the temporary home of Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady and his Brazilian model wife, Gisele Bundchen, and their three children. Brady is renting baseball star Derek Jeter's 21,700-square-foot waterfront mansion, which Jeter has on the market for $29 million.

However, the Brady Bunch's stay on Davis Islands is temporary. After shopping around existing mansions for sale in Clearwater, the couple is planning to build a custom-designed home there.
The Weeknd plans to make his mark on the Super Bowl.

His publicist reported that he is spending nearly $7 million of his own money to make the 2021 Pepsi Super Bowl IV Halftime Show one to remember. The show is set to begin at 8 p.m. Sunday.
In a press release, Pepsi, the NFL and Roc Nation announced described the three-time Grammy-winning artist as "one of today's most compelling and significant artists of a generation.
In less than a decade, The Weeknd has amassed a global fan base and become a multi-award winning artist. He was named one of the most influential people of 2020 by Time Magazine and is known for his genre-bending music and redefining storytelling, both sonically and visually.
"We all grow up watching the world's biggest acts playing the Super Bowl and one can only dream of being in that position. I'm humbled, honored and ecstatic to be the center of that infamous stage this year," The Weeknd said.
"The Weeknd has introduced a sound all his own. His soulful uniqueness has defined a new generation of greatness in music and artistry," said Shawn JAY-Z Carter. "This is an extraordinary moment in time and the Pepsi Super Bowl LV Halftime Show is going to be an extraordinary experience with an extraordinary performer."
"We are thrilled to have The Weeknd join us in Tampa Bay on the Pepsi Halftime Stage," said Brian Rolapp, NFL chief media and business officer, "Halftime show performances have a history of excellence and creativity, and we look forward to seeing what he will bring to Super Bowl LV."
In addition to The Weeknd, pop singer Miley Cyrus will be in Tampa Sunday to take part in the NFL's first TikTok Tailgate Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Game Day Fan Plaza in front of Raymond James Stadium, where she'll perform for 7,500 vaccinated front-line health care workers who were presented free tickets to the big game for their service.
At 6 p.m., country singer Eric Church will join 12 Grammy-nominated R&B singer and songwriter Jazmine Sullivan in performing "The Star-Spangled Banner." And Grammy-winning singer H.E.R. will perform "America the Beautiful."
Watching their performances from the stands will be a limited number of 22,000 fans, representing about one third of the capacity of Raymond James Stadium capacity of 65,890.
