Water Main Break Closes Spruce Street Lanes

TAMPA, FL — Motorists who use eastbound Spruce Street to get around might want to find a different route for the next day or so.

The Tampa Water Department has announced the street’s eastbound lanes are closed from Lois Avenue to Dale Mabry Highway as crews repair a broken water main.

The repairs should be finished by 11 p.m. Tuesday, but restoration work is expected to take until 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Signs and barricades have been placed in the area.
