
TAMPA, FL — Tampa Bay area residents ready to dry out and get out over the weekend are in luck.
The National Weather Service is forecasting a bright, sunny weekend with mild temperatures. Friday kicks things off with a chilly high in the mid-60s and a low in the upper 40s in much of the region.
Saturday is anticipated to bring more of the same with a slightly warmer high near 70. The overnight low should fall to the low 50s. Rain isn’t expected to be a part of the picture either day.

Sunday kicks off a bit of a warming trend with more sunny conditions on tap and a high in the low 70s in much of the region. The overnight low should reach the upper 50s.
The workweek starts off on Monday with a continuation of sunny, mild conditions. The day’s high is anticipated to climb to the mid to upper 70s.

Tuesday is expected to bring a high near 80, but the dry trend may end that evening. A 20 percent chance of overnight showers is in the forecast followed by a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms throughout the day Wednesday. It’s currently unclear just how strong those storms might be, but the weather service warns that heavy rainfall and gusty winds are possible.
