Westshore Boulevard Closing Announced

The multiday closing is being staged so sewer work can be performed.

TAMPA, FL — Motorists who travel Westhore Boulevard in their commutes might want to take note of an upcoming closing.

The City of Tampa Wastewater Department has announced the road will be closed to traffic from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Jan. 31 through Feb. 5. The closing impacts the section between Longfellow Avenue and West San Rafael Street.

The closing is being staged to enable department crews to inspect and clean sewer pipelines in the area. The wastewater department said access will be maintained for local residents only. The closing will be lifted daily once nightly work is completed.
