What’s Closed New Year’s Day 2023 In Tampa?

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL — With Tampa-area residents celebrating New Year’s Day Monday, here are some closures and schedule changes affecting government offices, facilities and services throughout the county.

Tampa City Government: All offices closed Monday.

Tampa Solid Waste: No collection on Monday. Normal residential trash collection resumes Tuesday. Commercial services will run one day late through Saturday. Check by address to see how trash collection is affected by the holiday.

McKay Bay Transfer Station and Scale House: Closed Monday. Normal hours resume Tuesday.

Gated Tampa Parks: Open Monday.

Tampa Aquatic Facilities: Closed Monday.

Tampa Community Centers: Closed Monday.

Marjorie Park Marina: Closed Monday.

Sandra Freedman Tennis Complex: Closed Monday.

Tampa Art Studios: Closed Monday.

Joe Abrahams Fitness Center: Closed Monday.

David M. Barksdale Center: Closed Monday.

Cordelia Hunt Center: Closed Monday.

Tampa-Hillsborough County Public Libraries: Closed Monday.

Hillsborough County Government Offices: Closed Monday.

Hillsborough County Recreation Centers: Closed Monday.

County Splash Pad Sites: Closed Monday.

County Skate Parks: Closed Monday.

County Conservation Parks: Open Monday.

Carrollwood Village Park: Open Monday, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.

County Dog Parks: Open Monday from sunrise to sunset.

Hillsborough County Customer Service Center: Closed Monday.

Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center: Closed Monday, though a limited number of animal control officers will be on call for emergencies only. Submit a request via the animal request button here.

Hillsborough County Trash Collection: There will be no regular trash collection on Monday. Monday’s trash will be collected There will be recycling and yard waste collections for those whose pickup falls on Monday. The Southeast County Landfill, Northwest and South County Transfer Facilities, Resource Recovery Facility, Community Collection Centers, and all yard waste sites will be closed Monday.

Hillsborough Area Regional Transit Authority: Buses on Monday will operate on a Sunday schedule, while streetcars will maintain a regular schedule. Paratransit services will be offered as required.

13th Judicial Circuit Court: Closed Monday.
