Pick A Pumpkin At These Patches In And Near Tampa

Signs of fall are everywhere, from cooler nights to pumpkin spice lattes and a sea of orange pumpkins in front of the grocery store.

TAMPA, FL — Signs of fall are everywhere, from cooler nights to pumpkin spice lattes and a sea of orange pumpkins in front of the grocery store.

But maybe you want the real deal — an actual pumpkin — in your home this season. Whether you’re planning to bake a pie, carve a jack-o’-lantern or just add some festive flair to your stoop, there are plenty of places to pick up a pumpkin near Tampa.

Kerby's Nursery Pumpkin Patch

Kerby's Nursery at 2311 S Parsons Ave., Seffner, is hosting its annual Pumpkin Patch with extra holiday events including a Scarecrow Scavenger Hunt run through Oct. 31 and a series of make-and-take fall crafts workshops. Click here for updates. Kerby's is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Hyde Park Village Pumpkin Patch

Village Circle at Hyde Park Village, 744 S Village Circle, Tampa, will host its annual pumpkin patch through Oct. 26 from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday through Sunday to benefit the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. The patch will feature two enchanted pumpkin carriages of different sizes, catering to both adults and children, for photo opportunities. Every Thursday in October from 10 a.m. to noon, there will be a Storytime in the Patch with Mother Boo. Adoptable puppies from The Humane Society of Tampa Bay will also be on hand from 10 a.m. to noon on Oct. 21. Pumpkin pricing ranges from $1 for mini pumpkins and gourds to $20 for extra-large pumpkins.

Corky's Pumpkin Patch

The second annual Corky’s Pumpkin Patch will take place Oct. 28 and 29 at Keel Farms, 1603 Hawks Griffin Road, Plant City. It will feature a 4-acre corn maze, a pumpkin patch, hayrides, a kids' zone and other activities.

Dave's Pumpkin Patch

Dave’s Christmas Tree Lot will host its annual pumpkin patch at 106 E Lumsden Ave., Brandon, Monday through Friday from 1 to 8 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. There will be pie pumpkins, mini pumpkins, white pumpkins, gourds, corn stalks, highly stacked hay bales, garden mums and more for $4 and up.

Watermelon Swim's Pumpkin Patches

Watermelon Swim’s Annual Pumpkin Patches will take place through Oct. 31 at four locations. Lutz at 19509 N Dale Mabry Highway and South Tampa at 3707 W McKay Ave. will have large outdoor patches, while Wesley Chapel at 30016 County Line Road and Riverview at 10459 Gibsonton Drive will offer cozy indoor setups. Admission is free, and they are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Click here.

The Great Pumpkin Patch

The Seminole Heights United Methodist Church Great Pumpkin Patch will take place through Oct. 30 at 6111 N Central Ave., Tampa, on Wednesdays through Friday from 3 to 8 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. It will feature a large selection of pumpkins for sale. The Great Pumpkin Patch will also host a Halloween family movie every Friday at 7:30 p.m. featuring concessions. The events are free to attend. "Hocus Pocus" will be shown Oct. 27.

Tampa Bay Farmers Market

Tampa Bay Farmers Market, 10001 N Armenia Ave., annual Pumpkin Patch is now open, offering Halloween pumpkins, gourds, corn stalks, straw bales, potted mums and more. The market is open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Click here.

Horsepower For Kids Fall Festival

The annual Horsepower for Kids Fall Festival will take place on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Oct. 29 at 8005 S. Race Track Road in Tampa. This festival features live music, train rides and hayrides, and offers a petting zoo. Kids can also burn off energy in the bounce house, act corny in the corn pit, play spirited games, make fall-themed crafts, explore Western Town and the Tree House and swing on tire and bench swings. Pony rides are an additional $5 fee. Admission to the nonprofit animal sanctuary and family fun farm is $14 with children under 12 months admitted for free. Click here.

St. Paul Parish Pumpkin Patch

The St. Paul Parish Youth Group in Tampa will host its annual pumpkin patch Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays at the church, 12708 N Dale Mabry Highway, Tampa. Click here.

St. Andrew's UMC Pumpkin Patch

The St. Andrew's United Methodist Church Annual Pumpkin Patch will take place at the church at 3315 S. Bryan Road in Brandon through Oct. 31. Hours are Monday through Friday from 4 to 7:30 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The youth ministry's largest fundraiser will feature more than 1,500 pumpkins for sale. The pumpkin patch will host story times for preschools throughout the month from Monday through Friday, 9:15 a.m. to noon. Kids can listen to the storyteller, explore the pumpkin patch, take fall photos and even purchase a mini pumpkin to take home. Click here for reservations.

Limona Village Chapel Pumpkin Patch

Limona Village Chapel United Methodist Church at 408 Limona Road, Brandon, will host its pumpkin patch daily through Oct. 31 from Monday through Friday from 1 to 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. There will be a variety of pumpkins and gourds to choose from, and lots of photo ops. Wolfe's Produce Market Pumpkin Patch

Wolfe's Produce Market Pumpkin Patch is now open daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 6005 U.S. 301 S, Riverview. The produce stand features pumpkins of all shapes and sizes, gourds and other fall decorations. Click here.

The Fox Squirrel Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch

The Fox Squirrel Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch, 3002 Charlie Taylor Road, Plant City, is open Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Nov. 5. In addition to the pumpkin patch, it features a corn maze, free hay rides, horseback riding, a bluegrass band, Southern-style food for sale, duck races, badminton, corn hole games, a corn pit, a huge jump pad, a lookout tower, seasonal flowers for sale and camel rides. Raprager Farm Fall Pumpkin Festival And Haunted Farm

The 2-acre Raprager Family Farm at 16907 Boy Scout Road in Odessa is hosting its annual Fall Pumpkin Festival and Haunted Farm on Friday through Sunday, Oct. 27 to 29 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Fridays, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturdays and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sundays.

The festival will continue on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 4-5, 11-12 and 18-19. Activities include a pump patch, petting zoo and farm animal experience, a bounce pillow, axe throwing, hay rides, a 40-foot second-story hay chute slide, a corn pit, a butterfly garden, a 1,000-square-foot kids' inflatable maze, pumpkin painting, live entertainment corn hole, Connect 4 and field chess games, the Goblin Market with a variety of vendors in the 7,000-square-foot barn and the 2,000-square-foot Fort Merlin for kids.

Extra purchases include food from The Farm's Kitchen and Pam's Pizza Cones; gourmet fudge, truffles, coffee, cider doughnuts and other sweet treats from the SweetShop; Kangal Corner's ice cream, kettle corn and cider doughnuts; The Lemonade Stand with free-squeezed lemonade, cinnamon-roasted nuts and sno cones; The Packing House Bar serving pumpkin beers, ciders and domestics; face painting; pony rides; gem mining; feeding the cows; and purchases of pumpkins, produce and items from vendors.   • In addition to having a 1,500-pound pumpkin on display, Bearss Groves farm stand at 14316 Lake Magdalene Blvd. in North Tampa offers pumpkins, gourds and fall decorations of all kinds and invites families to drop by and take Instagrammable photos. Bearss Groves is open Wednesday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
