Woman Found Dead In Trunk Identified
A 44-year-old Tampa man has been charged with second-degree murder following the Tuesday discovery.

TAMPA, FL — When a Tampa man arrived at his Thrasher Drive home early Tuesday evening, he couldn’t help but notice “blood throughout the residence.”
Concerned and unsure of its source, the man called the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office around 6:45 p.m. When deputies arrived, they found out the man had two roommates, an email from the sheriff’s office said.
Hoping to speak with them about the blood found in the home, deputies went to an address on Columbus Avenue where the two were known to hang out, the email said.

Once there, they encountered one of the roommates, 44-year-old Kydel Weldon.
“Deputies observed what appeared to be blood on Weldon’s hands and clothing,” the email said.

During the course of the investigation, deputies found the body of a woman in Weldon’s trunk, the agency noted.
The woman has been identified as Tina Ryan, 45. She lived at the same 6801 Thrasher Drive address as Weldon, according to the sheriff's office. Deputies have not said how she died.
At this time, Weldon has been charged with second-degree murder. Weldon was booked into the Hillsborough County Jail early Wednesday morning. He was being held without bond, according to jail records.
No further information is currently available.
