
Cooler weather is on the way for the Tampa Bay area, but that doesn’t mean it’s time to pull out the jackets just yet.
According to the National Weather Service, last week’s record-breaking temperatures in the 90s are a thing of the past. Even so, highs throughout most of the week are expected to climb into the low to mid-80s.
Monday kicks things off with a 40 percent chance of rain expected in the daytime hours and a high in the mid-80s. The low is expected to fall to about 70 degrees with a 20 percent chance of rain in the evening hours.

Monday does bring with it a high rip current risk in the coastal areas of Pinellas, Hillsborough, Manatee and Sarasota counties, according to the weather service. Beachgoers will want to pay close attention to lifeguards and warning flags and signs to avoid potential danger.
Tuesday brings a 30 percent chance of rain at the start of the day with a gradual clearing expected. The high is anticipated to only reach about 83 with an overnight low in the mid-60s.

Veterans Day (Wednesday) is expected to be sunny with a high temperature in the low 80s. The overnight low should fall again into the mid-60s with mostly clear conditions expected overnight.

Thursday
- High temperature – Low 80s
- Low temperature – Mid- to upper 60s
- Rain chances – They weren’t in the cards as of Monday
Friday
- High temperature – Low 80s
- Low temperature – Mid 60s
- Rain chances – Not anticipated
The weekend is expected to be a nice one with mostly sunny conditions and highs only reaching the upper 70s.
