
Tampa Bay area residents eager to give their air conditioners a break should like what’s in store for the week ahead.
According to the National Weather Service, a mild workweek is on tap with temperatures not expected to crack the 80-degree mark at all. Monday kicks things off with a sunny day that is anticipated to bring a high in the mid-60s. The overnight low should fall into the mid-40s with clear conditions anticipated. Tuesday brings more of the same, but with slightly higher temperatures expected.
Wednesday is anticipated to be a day of change for the region. The day kicks off with a 30 percent chance of rain. A high in the low-70s is expected with an overnight low in the upper 50s.

Here’s how forecasters expect the rest of the workweek to shape up:
Thursday
- High – Mid-70s
- Low – Low 60s
- Rain chances – About 20 percent in the evening hours
Friday
- High – Upper 70s
- Low – Mid-60s
- Rain chances – About 40 percent during the daytime hours followed by 20 percent overnight
The weekend brings more chances for rain on Saturday with a high around 77 degrees. More showers are expected in the overnight hours.
