1 Man Shot Dead, Another Injured By Gunshot A Block Apart

St. Petersburg Police are investigating the shooting of a 20-year-old man in the 4200 block of 14th Avenue South Wednesday, April 11.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL -- St. Petersburg Police are investigating the shooting of a 20-year-old man in the 4200 block of 14th Avenue South Wednesday, April 11 around 4:15 p.m.

Christopher Miller was critically injured. Officers performed CPR at the scene and he was transported to the hospital where he died.

Investigators believe he was shot during an altercation.

Another man, John Walker, age 53, was also shot about a block away at the same time. His injury is not life-threatening.

Police have not determined how the two shooting are related.
