1 Shot, 2 Wounded During St. Pete Gunfire

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — One man died and two people were injured following a shooting in St. Petersburg Monday morning.

According to St. Pete Police, around 1:30 a.m. an officer was sent to 1301 Martin King St. S. for a report of gun fire.

Shortly afterward, three people were taken to local hospitals with gunshot wounds. Resnick Hampton Jr., 28, died and the other two were treated for minor gunshots.

One of those treated for a graze wound, Christopher Hawkins, 47, was arrested on a warrant after he was treated.
