2-Year-Old Thrown From Car In St. Pete Crash: FL Highway Patrol

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A 2-year-old boy was seriously injured Friday morning in a St. Petersburg crash, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.

A car driven by a 40-year-old St. Petersburg woman was heading west on 41st Avenue N. at the same time a truck driven by a 34-year-old Riverview man was traveling north on 28th Street N.

At the intersection, the woman drove through a stop sign and hit the truck, FHP.

Both drivers and a passenger in the car suffered minor injuries in the crash.

The passenger’s son, who was incorrectly restrained in a car seat that shifted upon impact, was ejected from the car, troopers said.
