5 Teens Charged After Deadly Hit-And-Run With Stolen Car: Police
Five boys are facing murder charges after they hit a man crossing the street in St. Petersburg, police said.
ST PETERSBURG, FL — Five teens are facing murder charges after police said they fatally struck a man with a stolen SUV and left the scene after the collision.
According to police, Edward Webb was walking across 9th Avenue South near his home Monday when a stolen Jeep SUV traveling northbound on 12th Street South turned onto 9th Avenue South and struck him.
The SUV's driver fled the scene and the vehicle was later found abandoned a few blocks away, police said.

On Friday, police identified the 14-year-old driver of the car and four passengers, ages 12, 13, 14, and 15. Police did not release their names.
The driver was charged with third-degree murder, vehicular homicide leaving the scene, driving without a license causing death and grand theft motor vehicle.
