1. Rays Block Party/Opening Series
Help St. Petersburg . From 12 - 3 p.m. along Central Avenue (In front of Ferg's) the city is hosting a block party. At 3:10, head over to the Trop for opening day as the Rays take on the New York Yankees. The AL East rivals will be squaring off on Saturday and Sunday as well.Â

Enjoy music in the street as the Breakfast Optimist Club of St. Petersburg turns a portion of Central Avenue in downtown St. Pete into a block party. The free party runs from 5:30 - 10 p.m. At , there is a free concert with Thomas Wynn and the Believers. The show starts at 8 p.m.
4. Saturday Morning Market
Browse for fresh fruits and vegetables, flowers, herbs, plants, rustic breads, gourmet baked goods, prepared foods, hand-crafted items and more at the Saturday morning market. The market is located in the parking lot of (1st Ave S & 1st St S) and runs from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.Â
5. Old Northeast Easter Egg Hunt
In the Easter spirit this weekend? Take the kiddies to , 13th Ave NE & N Shore Dr NE, for an Easter Egg Hunt. The Historic Old Northeast Neighborhood Association and Smith & Associates present this egg hunt with prizes for children who find the special Golden Eggs. Children also can win prizes for the best decorated costumes (girl's and boy's) in two age groups, preschool and ages 5 to 8. Plus, the Easter Bunny might hop by. The hunt is at 10 a.m. Saturday and is free.Â
