5 Things to do in St. Pete This Weekend

1. Tampa Bay Blues Festival

Come out to the Vinoy Park this weekend to experience the blues with the Tampa Bay Blues Festival. The three-day festival, April 12-14, features more than a dozen artists including Johnny Lang, Tab Benoit and Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue. Music begins at 12:30 p.m. and ends at 10 p.m. each night. Tickets are $40 for each day or you can buy a three-day pass for $100. Cash only.

2. Umphrey's McGee

At Jannus Live Saturday, you can rock out to jam band Umphrey's McGee. General admission tickets are $23.50 in advance and will be $26 the day of the show. Opening for Umphrey's will be Break Science. This tour, Umphrey's is celebrating its 15th anniversary as a band. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. You can buy tickets at the gate or online. 

3. 2nd Saturday Art Walk

The 2nd Saturday Art Walk / Gallery Walk is Saturday evenin. Participating Galleries open their doors for extended hours on the second Saturday evening of every month. A full list of participating galleries can be found online . The walk is free and is from 6 - 9 p.m. 

4. Battle of the Bands

May the best band win. Saturday evening at State Theatre, multiple bands will compete in a "Last Band Standing" battle of the bands. Doors open at 7 p.m. and tickets are $10. Bands featured included Screaming at the Silence, SinGod, Hang Em High, Lit Up, Kheiron and Civil Action.  

5. Saturday Morning Market

The market is held weekly on Saturdays through May, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. It is located at the Al Lang Field parking lot (also known as Progress Energy Park), which is located on the corner of First Ave. S. and First St. Shoppers can browse for fresh fruits and vegetables, loaves of rustic bread, gourmet- prepared foods, specialty foods, herbs, plants, hand crafted gifts and much more. Admission is free.
