5 Things to Do Today: Same Farmer's Market, New Locale
It's the first weekend for the Saturday Morning Market in Williams Park, there's an a retro-'70s rock show at the Mahaffey, and FC Tampa Bay plays at Al Lang.

1.) Saturday Morning Market in Williams Park: The hasn't closed for the summer. It's just moved just a few blocks over to in downtown St. Petersburg. This is the first Saturday for the new location. It's a smaller group, meeting earlier (from 8 a.m. to noon). But you'll still be able to pick up fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as get breakfast or lunch and even check out some homemade crafts. 2.) FC Tampa Bay vs. Carolina Railhawks: With the Rays out of town on an 11-game road trip to the West Coast, the Lightning out of the finals, and the Bucs in lock-out land, Tampa Bay sports junkies will have one choice remaining to get their sports fix: FC Tampa Bay. The NASL team plays Saturday night at 7 at Al Lang Stadium in downtown St. Petersburg. Tickets start at a bargain $10. Go to www.fctampabay.com for mor einformation.
3.) : Popular rockers from the 1970s and '80s have assembled for a night of oldie goldies at the Mahaffey Theater. Many middle-aged fans will know some of the pop hits by heart. The line-up includes former Deep Purple Singer Joe Lynn Turner, John Cafferty ("On the Dark Side"), Orleans ("Still the One"), Robbie Dupree ("Steal Away") and John Ford Coley ("I'd Really Like to See You Tonight"). The show begins at 8. Tickets start at $28.
4.) American Duet: Mark E. Leib’s follows a couple from their first date in 1970 though their lifelong friendship, as they are affected by big and small changes around them. There's a preview performance at 2 p.m. for only $10 admission. The opening performance, at 7, is $20. The play is being presented at , 620 1st Ave S.
5.) Canopy Tree Climbing: This sounds like fun.. Climbers 6 and older can climb a live oak tree using harnesses and a rope pulley system similar to those used in the Amazon rain forests. The event is organized by Pathfinder Outdoor Education. It begins at 10 a.m. at Lakeview Presbyterian Church, 1310 22nd Ave. S. Each climber will be charged $10.
