6 Community Meetings Set for Downtown Waterfront Master Plan
The first in the series that continues into next week is set for Wednesday night.

St. Petersburg residents interested in learning more about plans for the city’s downtown area are being asked to attend a series of six community meetings.
The first in the series takes place Wednesday at the Allstate Center, 3200 34th St. S., starting at 6:30 p.m. Those who attend will be able to review findings from the Urban Land Institute, participate in discussions and help identify ideas for St. Petersburg’s waterfront.

Other meetings in the series are set for:
- Thursday, Sept. 11 – Enoch Davis Center, 1111 18th Ave. S at 6:30 p.m.
- Friday, Sept. 12 – This is a walking audit in the Salt Creek Marine District that starts at 6 p.m. Participants are asked to meet in the Harborage Marina Overflow parking lot, 1110 Third St. S. The audit will be followed by a community meeting in the Cruise Port Terminal One building, 250 Eighth Ave. SE, at 7:30 p.m.
- Saturday, Sept. 13 – This walking audit focuses on the area from Coffee Pot to Vinoy Park and starts at 9 a.m. Participants are asked to meet in the Masonic Home of Florida parking lot, 3201 First St. NE. The tour will be followed by a meeting at the Masonic Home at 11 a.m.
- Wednesday, Sept. 17 – Another community meeting takes place at the West St. Petersburg Community Library at St. Petersburg College, 6605 Fifth Ave. N., at 6:30 p.m.
- Friday, Sept. 19 – This final walking audit focuses on South Downtown and starts at 6 p.m. Participants are asked to meet at the Bayside Fountain across from the Mahaffey Theater. The audit will be followed by a meeting at the Cruise Port Terminal One, 250 Eighth Ave. SE, at 7:30 p.m.
