7 Injured After Fight Leads To Shooting In St. Pete: Police

St. Petersburg police said three men were shot in the legs after an overnight argument led to a shooting on Third Street North.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Three men were shot and four other people were injured early Saturdayafter a fight led to a shooting in St. Petersburg, authorities said.

According to St. Petersburg police, officers were called around 12:45 a.m. after a fight broke out between a group of men on the sidewalk of Third Street North near Central Avenue. Police said the argument escalated when shots were fired, striking three men in the legs.

Two other men and two women also suffered minor injuries, police said.

According to police, the shooter or shooters left the scene before officers arrived. Detectives are working to identify potential suspects, authorities said.
