Man Charged With DUI Manslaughter In Death Of 71-Year-Old Woman

ST. PETERSBURG, FL —A 35-year-old man has been charged with DUI manslaughter following a crash Tuesday that killed a 71-year-old woman.

St. Petersburg Police say Blake Faine was impaired when he crashed his Nissan pickup truck into a Nissan sedan as it was turning onto 54th Avenue South from a store at 3077 54th Avenue South Dec. 10 around 8:30 p.m.

The front of the pickup truck struck the left side of the sedan. Both drivers were transported to Bayfront Health St. Pete where Dorothy Wertz died from her injuries. Faine is being treated for serious injures.
