ALDI Announces Local Hiring Events

Tampa Bay area job seekers with an interest in the grocery industry might want to jot two dates on their calendars. ALDI has announced two upcoming job fairs.

The grocery chain’s first local hiring event is set for July 6 at the Courtyard Marriott, 100 Riverfront Drive, in Bradenton. From 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., store officials will be on hand interviewing people for positions at the soon-to-open Palmetto store.

Folks in Pinellas County may also want to check out a July 7 hiring event at the 9021 U.S. 19 N. ALDI store. That event runs from 9 a.m. to noon in Pinellas Park. The Pinellas County hiring event covers openings at the Largo, Pinellas Park, Seminole and St. Petersburg stores with shift manager and associate positions available.

ALDI store associate positions start at $11.50 an hour while shift managers start at $15.50 an hour. Manager trainees average about $22 an hour with an opportunity to earn $75,000 or more as store managers.

To apply for open positions, applicants must have at least a high school diploma or GED and be 18 or older. They must also be able to lift up to 45 pounds, be able to pass a drug screening and background check, and be available to work anytime between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m. Monday through Sunday.
