ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Fast-casual Italian chain Dalmoro’s Fresh Pasta To-Go is reopening in new downtown St. Petersburg digs after closing its original location in the city earlier this year.
Dalmoro’s will celebrate its new space at 204 1st Ave. N. - next door to Jannus Live, in a space previously home to Moon Mountain - with a grand opening party on Friday.
“St. Pete, we are so back! Come celebrate our grand re-opening in the town that started it all — doors re-open 5/1 in a bigger and better space next to the iconic [music venue] just in time for First Friday,” Dalmoro’s wrote in a social media post. “Pull up, bring your people, and let’s have a fresh pasta party!”
The event will feature a special “pasta cutting” - instead of a ribbon cutting - at noon and the first 100 customers will receive a free pasta card to use on their next visit.
There will also be tiramisu and bagged fresh pasta giveaways, and a special guest appearance by Tony Rigatoni that day.
The brand, which originated in Venice, Italy, opened its first U.S. franchise location in 2021 in St. Petersburg at 653 Central Ave. That original location closed in January after the company announced plans to relocate.
“We’re back and better than ever, with a fresh new look, while preserving the same family-friendly Italian experience our guests have always loved,” David Caruso, the franchise owner, said in a news release.
The menu will expand in the larger space with “new sauces, salads and a major focus on Italian-style sandwiches called Paninos, which feature traditional Italian meats and cheeses, but with a Dalmoros twist,” he added.
Dalmoro’s other U.S. locations include restaurants at Tampa’s Armature Works, the University of Florida in Gainesville, The Mall at Millenia in Orlando, and Delray Beach, as well as two in the Boston, Massachusetts, area, according to its website.
