St. Pete Police Search For 18-Year-Old Accused of Shooting Stepfather

Police say the man fled after shooting his 34-year-old stepfather during a verbal argument Sunday morning.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — St. Petersburg police are searching for an 18-year-old man accused of shooting his stepfather during a verbal argument Sunday morning.

Officers responded around 4:20 a.m. to a home in the 4300 block of Cherry Street Northeast, where they found the 34-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound, according to media reports. The victim was seriously injured and taken to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital.

The 18-year-old fled the scene and remains wanted as the investigation continues, according to Tampa Bay 28.
