USF St. Pete adds four-year nursing degree for workforce pipeline (stpetecatalyst.com) — USF's St. Petersburg campus is launching its first traditional four-year nursing degree, giving local high school graduates a direct path to become registered nurses without earning another bachelor's first. Backed by major state funding and hospital partnerships, the program will add up to 70 new upper-division nursing seats annually to help address Pinellas County's ongoing nursing shortage.
   

2. City, Florida Orchestra in Mahaffey Theater management talks (stpetecatalyst.com) — St. Petersburg officials are close to approving a new management deal that would put The Florida Orchestra and VenuWorks in charge of the Mahaffey Theater, with millions in city support and future renovation funding on the line. The draft agreement outlines annual capital and management payments, maintenance cost-sharing, and a shift of naming-rights revenue to the orchestra, and will head to City Council soon for a final decision.
   

3. St. Petersburg sanitation building earns LEED Gold certification (wastetodaymagazine.com) — St. Petersburg's Benjamin F. Shirley Sr. Sanitation Building has earned LEED Gold certification, reflecting major investments in greener, more resilient city services for local residents. The new solar-powered facility consolidates sanitation operations, cuts water and energy use, and is designed to keep solid waste and recycling services running even during major utility disruptions.
   

4. For sale: A $3.5 million historic home on St. Petersburg's Mirror Lake (tampabay.com) — A historic 1937 Cade Allen–designed home on St. Petersburg's Mirror Lake is going on the market for $3.5 million after an extensive preservation-focused renovation. Developer Backstreets Capital restored original features while planning a seven-story condo project behind it, illustrating how the city's new Mirror Lake Historic District is shaping development and protecting notable architecture.
