Today's riddle: What do an island and the letter "t" have in common? 🤔 (Answer below!)
• Renovated, re-dedicated, the Manhattan Casino rises again (stpetecatalyst.com) — St. Petersburg's historic Manhattan Casino has reopened as a renovated, city-backed community event space in the Deuces neighborhood after a $4.8 million remodel. Local leaders say the century-old venue will anchor new development and provide affordable space for gatherings, reviving a landmark that once hosted legends like Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald for today's residents.
• See a century of Florida film history at this Tampa museum (tampabay.com) — A new exhibit at the Tampa Bay History Center traces more than a century of Florida filmmaking, including studios and shoots in places like St. Petersburg's Weedon Island and Tampa's Rocky Point. Running through March, it showcases posters, props, and artifacts from classics and lesser-known films, plus a special section honoring Tampa Theatre's centennial.
