Sunrise Rotary to Hear "We Are What We Eat" From A Registered Dietician

Tuesday, September 29 Shannon Parks, a registered dietitian with Bay Care, who will help us promote a healthy diet! (She promised not to criticize all the unhealthy items that we choose from our breakfast buffet!) It will be great information for all of us.

We had a good crowd at the Yacht Club on Tuesday, September 22, morning and learned about what is going on in the Skyway District, where 2,000 apartment residences are under construction!

On Wednesday, Susan and President Jim picked up Sergio Nabhan, the Rotary Youth Exchange Student from Brazil , who will be staying with us until the New Year!

Of course, they immediately dragged him to our Rotary Social at Rolling Oats, where he met a handful of Rotarians from both our Sunrise and Impact Clubs. I didn't know what to expect at Rolling Oats Market, a locally owned natural food grocer. It has a grab-and-go cafe where you can enjoy items you bought in the grocery store. What luck, my 40-year-old corkscrew in the bottom of the glove box in my car, and thanks, Dave, for sharing your snacks. I got to go back to Rolling Oats very soon and shop for the store's many natural and unique food offerings.
