ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority launched its 727 Airport Express, a bus service connecting downtown St. Petersburg directly to Tampa International Airport, on Sunday.
The hybrid bus service runs daily from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m., picking up and dropping off travelers at nine downtown stops, including the St. Pete Pier, according to the PSTA website.
The service operates on a 75-minute frequency. Find the full schedule here.
One-way fare is $2.25 cash and $2.36 when paying with a credit or debit card.
The bus connects to the airport primarily via Interstate 275, using the new express lanes on the Howard Frankland Bridge.
"This new service will establish a direct regional transit link between Pinellas County and Tampa International Airport, provide an attractive alternative to automobile travel, support airport workforce access, and improve mobility between major tourism, employment, and activity centers in the Tampa Bay region," PSTA said.
