Suncoast Medical Clinic and St. Anthony’s Affiliation Complete with Opening of New Building

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., (Dec. 19, 2012) -- The affiliation between Suncoast Medical Clinic and St. Anthony’s Healthcare will be completed when the clinic opens its new facility on the St. Anthony’s Hospital campus, Dec. 31, 2012.

“Patient-centered care is a priority for both Suncoast and St. Anthony’s and we have seen improved alignment of care from our partnership,” said Mark Gordon, MD, president, Suncoast Medical Clinic. “Our move to the St. Anthony’s campus is the next step in our affiliation and will bring more health care choices and access to the St. Petersburg community.”

The new Suncoast Medical Clinic was built as part of the affiliation between Suncoast and St. Anthony’s. With space for approximately 50 physicians, the new building will have 27 medical specialties, as well as an urgent care clinic, outpatient lab, imaging, retail pharmacy, and optical shop. Amenities include free valet parking and a coffee shop. The community now will have convenient access to the area’s largest physician alliance right next to a hospital with an 80-year history dedicated to improving the health of the community.

“Our affiliation with Suncoast means that we can reduce fragmentation. Doing so results in improved quality and will help us address the changing face of health care,” said William Ulbricht, president, St. Anthony’s Healthcare. “With the opening of the new clinic, we move to the next level in providing the community coordinated, quality care.”

Located on the east side of the St. Anthony’s hospital campus near Jackson Street and Fifth Avenue N, the address for the Suncoast Medical Clinic is 620 10th St. N, St. Petersburg. The clinic is moving from its previous location in south St. Petersburg and all physician phone numbers remain the same, along with the main clinic phone number, (727) 894-1818.
