Annual Raptor Fest Returns To Boyd Hill Nature Preserve Feb. 1
Join the Friends of Boyd Hill Nature Preserve in celebrating birds of prey at the annual Raptor Fest at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve Feb. 1.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Join the St. Petersburg Parks & Recreation Department and the Friends of Boyd Hill Nature Preserve in celebrating birds of prey at the annual Raptor Fest on Saturday, Feb. 1, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve, 1101 Country Club Way S.
See trained raptors in flight with EarthQuest and environmental exhibits while enjoying activities for children and bird walks.
The day will also include presentations featuring Florida's native falcon species, dissecting owl pellets with Sensing Nature LLC and photo ops with live birds of prey.

Food and drinks will be available for purchase.
There is limited parking available at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve. Additional parking is available at Lakewood High School, 1400 54th Ave. S., with a free shuttle service to and from the event.

Raptor Fest is an opportunity to raise awareness about the Birds of Prey Program at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve. The program provides permanently injured, non-releasable birds of prey a safe, healthy environment who are cared for by volunteers and preserve staff.
Operated and maintained by the St. Petersburg Parks and Recreation Department, the 245-acre Boyd Hill Nature Preserve is home to the Lake Maggiore Environmental Recreation Center, Pinellas Pioneer Settlement, the Environmental Studies Area and the Birds of Prey exhibit. The preserve offers a wide variety of educational programs and recreational services for all ages, including camps, classes, events, tours and trails.
