Arrest Made in Shooting of Woman With Baby in Car
The arrest was announced Friday morning.
A 32-year-old St. Petersburg man faces a number of criminal charges after Pinellas County deputies say he fired into a car Monday that had an 11-month-old baby inside. The bullets struck and injured the child’s mother.
Christopher Keys’ arrest was announced Friday morning. He now faces attempted first-degree murder, shooting a deadly missile into an occupied vehicle, aggravated stalking and violation of a domestic violence injunction charges, among others, the sheriff’s office said in an email.
Keys is accused of firing into a 24-year-old woman’s car as she was driving south on 31st Street North and 58th Avenue North in Lealman on Nov. 30. The incident happened around 7:30 a.m. Deputies say the 11-month-old girl was not injured.

Keys was being held in the Pinellas County Jail Friday morning without bond.
