Arrest Made in St. Pete Shooting

A Gulfport man was shot several times following the incident at the Abbey Road Bar earlier this month.

A 21-year-old Pinellas Park man faces attempted first-degree murder charges after St. Petersburg Police identified him as the suspect in an April 6 shooting outside the Abbey Road Bar.

Gregory Jaeger was brought into custody Wednesday evening by St. Petersburg Police officers and the U.S. Marshals Service, according to an email to media from the police department.

The incident that led to Jaeger’s arrest occurred around 11:15 p.m. April 6 at the 974 58th St. N. bar. Detectives say victim Andy Santos, 32, of Gulfport got into an argument with two people at the bar and that dispute continued outside the establishment.

The argument, police say, began when Jaeger made an inappropriate comment to Santos’ girlfriend. The dispute ultimately ended at 924 58th St. N. when Santos was shot several times.

Santos was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
