Asian Market Planned For St. Pete's Grand Central District
The new market plans to bring Asian pantry staples, snacks, and grab-and-go meals to a former wellness space in the Grand Central District.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A new Asian grocery store is coming to St. Petersburg’s Grand Central District this summer.
Pin Family Mart is preparing to open at 2452 Central Ave., a few doors down from the restaurant Pin on Grand, according to a social media post by the business.
The 1,400-square-foot market, set to take over the former Lightwave Quantum Wellness, is expected to open in July.
The business plans to bring products from Thailand, Japan, Korea, Laos, China and Vietnam to the neighborhood.

The concept is being launched by one of the restaurant’s owners, Som Rattanachane, one of the owners of Pin on Grand, alongside her cousin, Natchaya “Phim” Kraiboot, and their parents, who are moving to the area from Thailand, bringing with them “a lifetime of grocery expertise,” the post said, adding, “This isn't just a market — it’s a homecoming.”
The market is expected to offer pantry staples such as curry pastes, teas, herbs, condiments and seasonings.

It also plans to stock snacks, sodas, noodles and desserts, according to the announcement.
Pin Family Mart also said it will carry "One Tambon One Product" goods, which are handcrafted signature items from local sub-districts across Thailand, as well as grab-and-go noodles, salads, and warm meals made at nearby Pin on Grand.
"Our goal is to create a premium destination for authentic Asian products imported to the U.S., combined with some locally sourced items as well," Rattanachane said.
