Sara Verse is a composer and singer from Barcelona, Spain, whose musical journey began at a young age. After moving to the United States, she explored the flamenco pop influences of her heritage and has performed throughout the Tampa Bay area with local groups, including Jaleo and Los Rumberos.
David Muñoz is a multi-faceted acoustic guitarist based in Sarasota, Florida, with more than 25 years of performance experience. His music blends the passion of flamenco, classical influences, Latin jazz, Brazilian bossa nova, samba, and Mediterranean-inspired sounds to create a rich and dynamic listening experience.

Watch, learn and participate in your very own sculpted pumpkin making experience in the Morean Glass Studio &amp; Hot Shop!
Gather a group of friends and sign up together or register on your own. Limited to 10 people per night, this event runs from 6pm-9pm, with each participant given enough one-on-one time with a professional glass artist to create their very own pumpkin.
Choose your own colors, lay out the colored&nbsp;frit&nbsp;(granulated glass) in the desired pattern on the&nbsp;marver&nbsp;(flat steel surface). Then, with the assistance of a professional&nbsp;gaffer (glassblower) gather up molten glass, apply the color, then heat, shape, and sculpt the stem.
Proper Dress: Non-flammable clothing, long pants, closed-toed shoes.&nbsp;
&nbsp;*Note* Glass works need to cool for 48 hours before they are able to be taken home. Pick up available Wednesday through Sunday. Please keep this in mind when scheduling.&nbsp;

As the founder of Danse Konpa, established in 2011, Jean-René has spent more than a decade sharing Haitian culture through dance, visual arts, filmmaking, and education. In 2025, he was recognized as a Trailblazer by the City of Tampa during its 37th Annual Black History Celebration for his contributions as an artist, filmmaker, and community leader.

A notable period in Florida’s history came after the French/Indian War. When the Floridas came under Great Britain’s rule, West &amp; East Florida became England’s 14th &amp; 15th American colonies. The addition of the Floridas meant England now had colonies from Canada to the Gulf of Mexico.
Our September 10 Happy Hour with the Historian will dive into Florida’s history during England’s rule. We’ll share details often hidden from U.S. history books, like the fact that Florida remained loyal to Britain when the Revolution began.
Rodney Kite-Powell is the Director of the Touchton Map Library and Florida Center for Cartographic Education at the Tampa Bay History Center, where he joined the staff in 1995. He received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Florida and a Master of Arts from the University of South Florida—both in the subject of U.S. history. Born and raised in Tampa, Florida, he has written and lectured extensively on the history of Tampa, Hillsborough County, and Florida.

This touring exhibition brings long-overdue attention to Georgia’s vibrant woodfiring tradition. The Contemporary Woodfire Potters of Georgia exhibition showcases a multigenerational collective of artists whose practices span folk pottery lineages, Japanese kilntraditions, and contemporary ceramic artistry—united by a shared devotion to the centuries-old craft of woodfiring. The group includes some of the most influential names in Southern pottery, among them legacy potters with more than 30 years of firing experience such as Roger Jamison, Geoff Pickett, Jon Brinley, and Allen Gee, as well as studio innovators including Stephen Hawks, and Ron Meyers. Equally central to the movement are the next generation of fire chiefs and apprentices—Rebecca Wood, Kyle Jones, and Liz Bloodgood—and a rising cohort of nationally recognized ceramic artists including , Linda Suskin, Kimberly Shelton and Joel Huff.
