| Happy Hour with the Historian – Florida Women and Social Change July 9 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Join us for the stories of several relatively unknown yet important women who laid the foundation for improving women’s equality in Florida and across the U.S. during post-World War II. It is the story of women’s page journalists, women’s club members and local political leaders. While these women largely worked behind the scenes, they made a significant impact. Dr. Kimberly Voss is a full professor of journalism at the University of Central Florida. She has published seven books, including Newspaper Fashion Journalism, and Women Politicking Politely. |
