From early European exploration to tracing tales through the twentieth century, the book follows their path, highlighting Florida’s ever-changing landscape to explore the state’s history and natural beauty.

Leslie Kemp Poole is associate professor of environmental studies at Rollins College. A fourth-generation Floridian, Poole is an award-winning journalist and historian and has authored five books.
