Car Crashes Into Publix Truck While Merging Onto I-275: FHP
Two St. Petersburg men were injured after their car crashed into a Publix tractor-trailer truck on I-275, FL Highway Patrol said.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Two St. Petersburg men were seriously injured after their car crashed into a Publix tractor-trailer truck while merging onto Interstate 275 Sunday morning, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.
They were heading north on the Interstate 375 entrance ramp just before 6 a.m. when the 18-year-old driver, who was going too fast on the wet road, lost control while merging onto I-275, the agency said.
The car rotated and traveled across the road, colliding with the truck. The car’s driver and his 28-year-old passenger were both injured.

The truck’s driver, a 34-year-old Lakeland man, wasn’t injured in the crash.
