Car From Drive-By Shooting Possibly Recovered

The 2011 Dodge Challenger believed to have been used in a shooting that left two people injured was found Thursday night.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — As St. Petersburg Police continue their investigation into a Thursday drive-by shooting that left two people injured, they’re hoping an abandoned Dodge Challenger will offer insights in the case.

The 2011 white Challenger was found parked and abandoned at Dell Homes Park, 2741 20th St. S., just after 11 p.m. Thursday. Police believe the car, which was reported stolen March 7, was used in a shooting at 1201 10th Ave. S. Thursday afternoon. Three-year-old Jayla Mack and Terrell Holliman, 23, both suffered injuries when a similar car drove by and someone inside opened fire on people gathered on the home's porch.

Mack and Holliman’s injuries have been described as not life-threatening.
