The City Of St. Pete Gives Residents A Chance To Help Others

The city of St. Pete's Utility Assistance Program allows St. Pete residents to help residents pay their bills who have financial hardships.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — The city of St. Pete invites residents who are able to financially help others during the coronavirus pandemic to donate to the city's Utility Assistance Program. The purpose of this program is to help residents who experience financial hardships to pay their utility bills. Residents helping residents.

A form is available at the city of St. Pete website for anyone who wants to give a one-time donation or sign up for automatic monthly donations for any amount through their utility bill. The city's website explains that with the new utility bill round-up giving option, your bill is rounded up to the nearest dollar and the difference is donated. Donations may be tax-deductible as allowed by law.

Donations are made through the donor's utility bill and are distributed through a network of social service agencies.
