City to Host Rays Block Party

The first pitch for the Rays 2012 Major League Baseball season opener is at 3:10 p.m. Friday, April 6 at Tropicana Field

Before the Rays take the field, however, the city is showing its support of the Rays by hosting a block party along Central Avenue. 

The whole family is invited to join as a block party takes over Central Avenue between 13th and 15th Streets from noon to 3 p.m.

There will be live music, food, vendors kid’s activities, give-aways and more. Mayor Foster will welcome fans at 2 p.m.

Tickets for the Rays opener against the New York Yankees are sold out.
