Dallas Shooting: Tampa Bay Reacts
Police departments, lawmakers and others from Tampa Bay and across Florida mourned the law enforcement officers killed Thursday night.

Five law enforcement officers were shot dead and seven others wounded Thursday night when at least two snipers opened fire during a rally meant to protest the deaths of two black men by police earlier this week. Dallas police had several suspects in custody by Friday morning, following a massive search involving hundreds of officers.
In the wake of the tragedy, people across the Tampa Bay area and Florida took to social media to grieve the loss and express support for the Dallas Police Department.
Among those speaking out were local law enforcement agencies, city and state officials.

This violence is not who we are as a nation. We must come together to heal & unite. As RFK said, we need "love, and wisdom, and compassion."
