David Bowie Inspires Lookalike Fest

Bowie's celebrity, fashion sense and unique place in rock history were celebrated in St. Petersburg.

ST. PETERSBURG – It should be no surprise that a city that welcomes unconventional artists and their creations would celebrate David Bowie, the androgynous performer who so seamlessy blends rock, art and fashion.

ARTpool Gallery & Vintage Boutique invited Bowie admirers to dress in their best glam rock gear for a Saturday night party on First Avenue North in the downtown.

The party goers came from far and wide, and seemed to represent the infamous icon in all his incarnatons: Ziggy Stardust, the Thin White Duke, the Elephant Man and the Man Who Fell to Earth.

Along with hosting gallery openings, the shop also sells everything from clothing to cameras and is open Tuesday through Sunday from noon until 6pm.
