Deadline To Become High School Ambassador At St. Pete Pier Oct. 1

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — The deadline to become a high school ambassador for the St. Pete Pier is approaching Oct. 1.

The city is seeking sophomores and juniors at St.Petersburg high schools interested in becoming ambassadors when the St. Pete Pier opens next spring. The inaugural group will include 20 sophomores and juniors. Ambassadors will be selected by Nov. 1.

Ambassadors will have a series of monthly training sessions with city administrators, the Pier architects and the Pier team as well as a special access tour in February.

When the Pier opens, this group of ambassadors will be on hand to help answer questions, serve as guides and assist in other ways. To apply online, click here. Applications are also available at St. Petersburg libraries and recreation centers.
