On-Demand Alcohol Delivery Arrives In St. Pete
The Drizly service officially kicks off in St. Petersburg Thursday and is also available in Tampa.
ST. PETERSBURG, FL — St. Petersburg partygoers no longer have to worry about who’s going to make the next beer run. A new, on-demand alcohol delivery service has kicked off in the area.
Drizly’s official grand opening in St. Petersburg is set for Thursday, but the service is live already, officials say. Through the Drizly app, residents in Tampa – and now St. Petersburg – can order alcohol from ABC Wine & Spirits delivered to their homes. St. Petersburg orders will be filled by the ABC on 4th Street North, Drizly spokeswoman Kerin Horgan told Patch. The Tampa service area, which includes Carrollwood, Westchase and parts of Lutz, is covered by two separate ABC locations.
The new St. Petersburg territory covers a large swath of the city. It is bordered east to west from the Bay to the Intercoastal and north to south by the Howard Frankland Bridge and the Bay, Horgan said. Full coverage maps are available on the Drizly website.

Drizly launched service in Tampa back in November. The Boston-based company serves 19 cities.
“With Drizly, shopping for alcohol is done with a few clicks of the button and is easier than ever,” Horgan said. “Forget the hassle of driving to the store.”

Customers can order beer, wine and spirits using the mobile app or the desktop site. Orders are delivered in less than an hour in most cases.
“Products and inventory are the same on the Drizly app as they would be in an ABC retail store,” Horgan added. “That means no mark ups.”
Delivery drivers are employees of the retail partner who are equipped with Drizly’s proprietary identification software to ensure safe and compliant deliveries to customers who are 21 or older, she said.
As Drizly launches in St. Petersburg, the company is offering a special promotion. Customers will get $10 off their first order – with a $20 minimum order – by using the code STPETE10.
