Details in 7-Vehicle Fatal Accident Emerge
Police say a Huntsville, Ala., man died in the St. Petersburg wreck.

The St. Petersburg Police Department has released details in the fatal crash that closed a portion of 34th Street South Monday afternoon.
According to the agency, Terry Crawford, 51, of Huntsville, Ala., was heading south on 34th Street around 3:23 p.m. in a 2008 Chevrolet Uplander van at a “high rate of speed.” At that time, “a 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier driven by Delena Trimier, a 1994 Mitsubishi 3000G driven by Benjamin Williams, a 2009 Toyota Tundra driven by Kathy Decosmo, a 2014 Kia Rio driven by David Blair, a 2003 Nissan Altima driven by Beverly Davis, and a 2001 Chevrolet Tracker driven by Erin Ambroziak” were all stopped southbound for the red light at 38th Avenue South, an email from the agency stated.
Crawford, police said, wasn’t able to slow down in time and skidded about 140 feet before striking the Cavalier.
