Dog Training Class at Pet Pal Animal Shelter

Pet Pal Animal Shelter will be offering Dog training classes to the public effective July 15th, 2015.

Dogs who lack training and socialization end up in animal shelters, leaving them at a disadvantage and unfortunately, a high percentage of them are euthanized. Dog training is critical to a long, happy and safe relationship with your canine friend. Unfortunately, it’s not uncommon for dog owners to become frustrated when trying to train their dogs.

Pet Pal Animal Shelter strongly believes that positive dog training provides the best results and is the most effective when both you and your dog are having fun!

Open to the public:
Classes are open to the public and are for all breeds of dogs. Pet Pal’s “The Pit Project” offers free classes to Pit Bulls adopted from Pet Pal Animal Shelter. Dogs that have been adopted from Pet Pal Animal Shelter will receive a 50% discount!

Classes:
Pet Pal will have a six week class held every Wednesday from 6pm-7pm starting on July 15th, and a standalone class held every Tuesday starting July 21st from 6pm-7pm. The six week course will teach the basics as well as provide socialization for you and your dog. The six week course is only $75. The standalone class held every Tuesday requires no long term commitment. This class is full of tips and advice for training your dog at home. The standalone class is $45. Dog Training classes will be held at Pet Pal Animal Shelter and taught by Pat McCarthy. Pat is a certified dog trainer, a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers, an evaluator for Canine Life and Social Skills (C.L.A.S.S.), and an evaluator for AKC Canine Good Citizen and Star Puppy.

Pet Pal Animal Shelter welcome’s all friendly spayed and/or neutered, and vaccinated dogs in our classes. Please see the Policies on our website for vaccination requirements and more.

The proceeds from Pet Pal’s Dog Training Class benefit Pet Pal Animal Shelter, a No Kill, and Non-Profit Shelter. Pet Pal Animal Shelter has been saving lives since the 1980’s by providing the medical care needed while housing 150-200 cats, dogs, and small critters. Pet Pal Animal Shelter re homes 60-70 animals monthly.
