Downtown Shooting Suspect Turns Self In: St. Pete Police
Deronke Barron, 20, fired a gun into a crowd of people during a brawl near Central Avenue earlier this month, St. Petersburg police said.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — The suspect who fired a gun into a crowd of people during a downtown St. Petersburg brawl earlier this month turned himself into the Pinellas County Jail on Tuesday, authorities said.
Deronke Barron, 20, was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, discharging a firearm in public and improper exhibition of a dangerous weapon, St. Petersburg police wrote in a Facebook post.
The investigation is ongoing and he could face additional charges.

Barron and a group of men got into a fight on the sidewalk of Third Street N. near Central Avenue on Oct. 7 around 12:45 a.m., police said.
He fired shots into the group and three men suffered non-threatening injuries to their legs. Two men and two women suffered other minor injuries, as well.
