Driver Crashed Into 66th Street N. Building, Runs From Scene: FHP

A woman hit a light pole, electric control box, stop sign and a building on 66th Street N. before running from the scene: FL Highway Patrol

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Troopers are looking for a driver who ran from the scene of a single-vehicle crash on 66th Street N. Wednesday morning, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.

The suspect was driving an SUV south through the parking lot at 4346 66th Street N. "in an erratic manner" around 6:30 a.m., FHP said.

She drove over two raised concrete curbs, and hit a light pole, electric control box and a stop sign before driving into a large concrete support beam attached to the building.

After the crash, the woman ran away from the scene on foot, troopers said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Florida Highway Patrol at *FHP or Crime Stoppers at **TIPS.
