Driver In Fatal Hit-And-Run Crash Sought: St. Petersburg Police
Investigators are looking for the driver in a fatal hit-and-run crash that killed a woman crossing 34th Street S., St. Pete police said.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Investigators are looking for the driver in a fatal hit-and-run crash that left a pedestrian dead early Saturday morning.
A blue 2006 Lexus RX330 traveling north in the 1800 block of 34th Street S. hit Cassandra Gelineau, 28, around 2:15 a.m. as she crossed the street, according to a St. Petersburg Police Department news release.
Gelineau was hit by the front of the SUV while she was in the south crosswalk at the intersection at 15th Avenue S., police said.

She was pronounced dead at the scene. The vehicle was driven away from the crash site and found a few blocks away, SPPD said.
