Driver Killed In Dr. MLK Street Crash: St. Pete Police

One person was killed in a crash at Dr. Martin Luther King Street N. and 38th Avenue North, St. Petersburg police said.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — One person was killed in a Monday afternoon crash at Dr. Martin Luther King Street N. and 38th Avenue North, according to a St. Petersburg Police Department news release.

Just after 3 p.m., the driver of an SUV in the median lost control and hit a car heading north on Dr. Martin Luther King Street N. near the intersection, police said. This caused the SUV to roll

The SUV’s driver was pronounced dead on the scene by St. Petersburg Fire Rescue. The other driver wasn’t injured in the crash, SPPD said.
